In the early 1960s, Anastasios Mourikis, at a young age, began his first steps as an amateur alongside a major professional beekeeper at the time and was initiated into the world of bees.

After 2 years of continuous training in the art of beekeeping and having gained experience and knowledge of the secrets of the profession, he acquires his own hives and establishes his own beekeeping unit.

In 1978, his wife Fotini Mouriki joined beekeeping and contributed to the development of the family business.

They have 4 children, of whom the youngest, Panagiotis, born in 1987, from a very young age is nourished with the love of the bee, acquires very early images and stimuli from nature, becomes familiar with the miraculous, but at the same time strange (scientifically) world of bees, is trained in the art of beekeeping and a little later, finishing school and military obligations, he takes over the reins of the beekeeping unit, which until then counted 300 hives.

With hard work, zeal and impeccable technical training, our unit has today reached 2,500 hives.

The need to modernize our beekeeping unit (both in terms of equipment and maximum quality assurance) led us to create a new, ultra-modern, privately owned unit – packing plant in Stefani, Viotia, which meets all the modern requirements of the legislation with the ultimate goal that the final product that reaches the consumer should be of excellent quality, so that the customer continues to show the same trust in the Mourikis family name as he has done for 60 years now continuously.

3 years ago, in 2017, Maria Mouriki, Panagiotis' sister, also actively entered the family business.

It undertakes the promotion of our products and contributes to the dynamic development of our entity.

We want the Mourikis family to always be one step ahead of modern market trends and the current need for innovative products.
