The Story of Mouriki Honey

The story ofThe Mouriki familybegins in the 1960s, when Anastasios Mourikis was introduced to the fascinating world of beekeeping as a young man. After several years of training with experienced beekeepers, he established his own hives and founded what would later become a family tradition.

In 1978 his wife,Fotini Mouriki, join the work with the bees, and together they develop the company with passion and respect for nature.

Your son,Panagiotis Mourikis, took over the family business after completing his education and military service. With commitment and a modern approach, he has expanded production from 300 to over 2,500 hives today.

Today it is operatedMouriki Honeyfrom a modern facility in Stefani, Viotia, where tradition and innovation meet. Years of experience are combined with today's technical standards to ensure a product that reflects the family's values:respect for the bees, nature and craftsmanship.

In 2017, the sister joinedMaria Mourikijoin the team and contribute to the development and dissemination of the family's products, so that the proud Greek beekeeping tradition can be passed on to future generations.

Pine honey from Thassos, Greece

Every spring and autumn, a large part of the hives are moved to the untouched pine forests onThassos, where the Mouriki family harvests the famous pine honey – one of Greece's most prized honeys.

Thisnatural honeyis characterized by its dark, golden color, full aroma and characteristic taste with notes of resin and forest.

Pine honey has a lower sweetness than many flower honeys, making it ideal for bothcooking, cheeses, marinades and tea.

A classic example of Greek honey craftsmanship – harvested with respect for nature and the bees.
