Solmielato Organic Forest Honey / Honeydew Honey (300 g)
A creamy, organic honeydew honey – also known as forest honey – with an intense and distinctive flavor.
Unlike flower honey, this honey does not come from nectar, but from the honeydew that bees collect from the leaves of trees such as chestnut, fig, mulberry, spruce and pine , after certain insects have secreted the sweet sap.
The bees then transform this natural honeydew into an aromatic and complex honey – typically harvested in late summer, when flowers are scarce.
The color is very dark, almost black , and the consistency is dense and syrupy , with no tendency to crystallize.
The taste is less sweet than regular honey , with a characteristic aftertaste that balances sweet and slightly bitter notes.
The aroma offers nuances of figs, dried fruit and molasses – an intense and elegant experience for the senses.
