When spring arrives, Scottish bees gather nectar from wildflowers that sprout in the valleys and on the hillsides, as well as from the area's fruit trees. The result is a sweet, multi-floral honey with a unique and complex flavour, shaped by nature itself.

To support the bees' natural work, the hives are placed in small groups in pristine landscapes where the bees can find heather and wildflowers – the perfect setting for creating honey with character and depth, while also contributing to the pollination of the surrounding plants.

A hobby that turned into a passion – and a business

The story of Struan began in 1952, when the founderHamish Robertsonin the Scottish Highlands got his first beehive as a hobby. His family quickly enjoyed the delicious honey, and the interest soon became a lifelong fascination for the sonNigel, who followed in his father's footsteps.

After studying beekeeping at university, Nigel returned to the Highlands, where he continued and developed the family tradition. Together with his wifeKarenHe has developed Struan into a recognized producer of Scottish honey – today with around 500 hives spread across the pure highland terrain.

The company is now deliveringreal Scottish heather and flower honeyto quality-conscious retailers, hotels and restaurants in both the UK and internationally – still with the same dedication to craftsmanship, nature and taste that began with a single beehive.
